MarkReady (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website markready.io. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.

What we collect

MarkReady is a content site. We do not require user accounts and do not process payments. The data we collect is limited to:

  Email address — if you voluntarily subscribe to our weekly digest. We use Buttondown to manage email subscriptions. Your email is stored by Buttondown and is not shared with any other third party.

  Analytics data — we use two analytics services to understand how visitors use the site:

  • PostHog — product analytics including page views, feature usage, and session data. PostHog may set cookies to distinguish returning visitors.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics that collects aggregated page view and performance data. No personally identifiable information is collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics.

  Server logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs. These logs are retained according to Cloudflare's data retention policies.

How we use your data

• To send you the weekly digest, if you subscribed
• To understand which content and tools are most useful
• To improve site performance and fix bugs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

PostHog may set first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. We do not use any third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar privacy regulations, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Delete your data (including unsubscribing from emails)
• Object to processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing from emails or contacting us

Unsubscribing from emails

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us directly to have your email removed from our list. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately by Buttondown.

Data retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the retention policies of PostHog and Cloudflare. We do not maintain independent long-term stores of personally identifiable analytics data.

Third-party services

Children's privacy

MarkReady is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
