KEC, Testing Division Ikoma 1st Test Site

Ikoma City, Nara, Japan

The Ikoma 1st Test Site is one of four facilities operated by KEC (Kansai Electronic Industry Development Center), a non-profit EMC and product safety testing organization established in 1961. The site historically housed a 10-meter anechoic chamber, simplified anechoic chamber, shielded room, and power harmonic chamber supporting KEC's JAB-accredited (RTL02810) testing scope for automotive (CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637), airborne (RTCA/DO-160), and military (MIL-STD-461) EMC standards. KEC stopped accepting reservations for the Ikoma 1st Test Site's main chambers on March 22, 2024, redirecting work to the Keihanna Test Center.
