Chongqing Academy of Information and Communications (CAIC), known in Chinese as the West Branch of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), is a Chongqing-based, 100% PRC state-owned test laboratory that was A2LA-accredited (cert 4897.01) to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and held FCC lab designation CN1239 covering unintentional and intentional radiators, ISM, U-NII (with and without DFS), commercial mobile, GMRS, CBRS, and RF exposure. Since its initial 2018 FCC accreditation the lab contributed to more than 170 equipment certifications, but the FCC withdrew recognition on 12 February 2026 as part of its action against labs deemed controlled by a foreign adversary, meaning test reports issued under this designation are no longer accepted for FCC equipment authorization.
